The 14th Annual Swamp Guides Ball

On January 23rd and 24th, 2004 the Florida Keys Fishing Guides Association will present the 14th Annual Swamp Guides Ball Fishing Tournament and Auction. The event is an all-release snook, redfish and bonefish tournament.

Proceeds benefit the Don Hawley Foundation, which lends assistance to Florida Keys Fishing Guides during times of financial hardship. The foundation also supports game fish research.

The kick off party and silent auction is Friday, January 23rd at 5:30 p.m. at the Lor-e-lei Restaurant and Marina on the Beach. Fishing is from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 24th. Early entry fee is $150 for a team of two anglers. Entry fee includes 2 social tickets, 2 Tim Borksi "limited - special design" Swamp Guide Ball Tee-Shirts and two ditty bags. Late entry fee is $175 and may not include ditty bags. Additional social tickets are $20 each.

Do not miss the silent auction on Friday night at the Lor-e-lei. It is open to the public and we have the best in art, tackle, guide trips, resort packages and many surprise items. The auction is a "must attend" for anyone looking for a good deal and some fun.

Again, ALL proceeds go to the Don Hawley Foundation.

FRIDAY, JAN 23- Kick off party and Silent Auction at the Lorelei Beach
5:00 pm - Registration (all anglers & guides MUST register on Friday)
6:00 pm - Rules meeting *Cocktails * Hors d' oeuvres*
7:00 pm - Silent Auction ends.

SATURDAY, JAN 24 - Fishing & Swards Banquet at Lorelei Beach
6:30 am - Check in with scorekeeper is MANDATORY
7:00 am - Boats have to depart from Lorelei ONLY
8:00 am - Lines in
3:00 pm - Lines Out
5:00 pm - All boats MUST be back & checked in by SCOREKEEPER
6:00 pm - Cocktails & raffle
6:30 pm - Awards Banquet
